Painting and Papercut: One Studio, Two Traditions

Over the years, I’ve had the honor of creating many custom papercut ketubot that mark one of the most meaningful moments in a couple’s life. Each hand-cut design is tailored not just to the couple’s tradition, but to their taste—an object meant to be both sacred and beautiful. But ketubot are only part of what I create.

Painting has always been my primary focus. My background is in fine art, and outside of wedding commissions, I work full-time as a figurative oil painter specializing in imaginative realism.

My studio work centers on the human figure, often exploring themes of transformation, silence, and resilience. These are paintings shaped by a different kind of focus: slower, solitary, and searching. Where the ketubah celebrates union, my other work reflects transition, memory, and the quiet spaces in between.
